France as the Partner Country for the International B2B Software Days 2025

As one of Europe’s leading nations in digital innovation, France is the perfect partner for this event, which focuses on fostering global collaboration in the software and digital sectors.

Why France?

France has established itself as a pioneer in the digital economy, driving innovation in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0.

France 2030: An Ambitious Initiative

Launched by the French government in 2021, France 2030 is an ambitious plan to profoundly transform the French economy and address future challenges. With a total budget of €54 billion, the initiative aims to invest heavily in strategic sectors to enhance competitiveness and position France as a global innovation leader.

Among its ten priority areas:

  • Digital Technologies: Developing sovereign infrastructures like cloud services and investing in artificial intelligence and semiconductors.
  • Breakthrough Technologies (Deep Tech): Accelerating the development of innovative solutions in fields like biotechnology, robotics, and energy.

Key Highlights of France’s Digital Leadership:

  • Start-up Hub: With over 13,000 tech start-ups and Paris known as the “Start-up Capital of Europe”, France is a hub for innovation.
  • AI and Big Data: France invests heavily in artificial intelligence and data analytics, supported by its National AI Strategy, which decided two important measures :
    • Nearly €2.5 billion of the France 2030 plan is dedicated to AI.
    • On September 19, 2023, the Generative AI Committee was launched. This committee brings together actors from diverse sectors (cultural, economic, technological, research) to guide governmental decisions and position France at the forefront of the AI revolution.

La French Tech, another start-up booster

Initiatives like La French Tech and significant investments in digital infrastructure create an ideal environment for innovation and global collaboration. French B2B software companies are also known for sustainable, forward-looking solutions.

  • La French Tech: Responsible for supporting the structuring and growth of the French start-up ecosystem, both in France and internationally.
  • France is one of the European countries with the highest number of unicorns. Companies like Doctolib, BlaBlaCar, Mirakl, and Back Market have become leaders in their sectors thanks to the support of this ecosystem.

Key elements of La French Tech:

  • The “French Tech” Label: Awarded to start-ups, investors, and other stakeholders to recognize their contribution to the ecosystem.
  • Support Programs:
    • French Tech Tremplin: Helps entrepreneurs from underrepresented backgrounds launch their start-ups.
    • French Tech Next40/120: A program that supports the most promising start-ups toward rapid growth.
    • French Tech Visa: Facilitates the arrival of international talent in France.
