Workshop 5.1: European Codes of Practice for Knowledge Valorisation in which we will discuss their relevance for SME Software Companies
In this 45-minute Workshop hosted by the Austrian NCP-IP, the National Contact Point for Intellectual Assets and Knowledge Valorisation, you will learn more about the European Commission’s Codes of Practice for Knowledge Valorisation. The term *Knowledge Valorisation* is becoming increasingly central and describes the process of creating social and economic value from knowledge by connecting various fields and sectors and transforming data, expertise, and research results into sustainable products, services, solutions, and knowledge-based policies. To support the implementation of Guiding Principles for Knowledge Valorisation, the European Commission has developed four Codes of Practice which aim to facilitate the implementation of knowledge valorisation principles at national, regional, and local levels.
The workshop will facilitate a discussion between NCP-IP, the European Commission's Unit for Valorisation Policies and IPR and the ÖPA, the Austrian Patent Office.
